Development of technology for the production of Pear Rocha biofortified in calcium, with the objective of achieving high competitiveness indicators, in terms of production and conservation, with high economic performance.
Product and process innovation is intended, clarifying the guidelines to be followed by the chain, through a production model that takes advantage of the soil and climate characteristics of the PGI, different from other regions. In this way it will be possible to optimize the potential of the Apple of Alcobaça PGI, with possible orientation for different market segments. By collecting data on photosynthesis, interception and radiation distribution within the vegetation cover, as well as other physiological parameters, it will be possible to develop improved technology and methods for the production of these varieties in the region.
